I like to think of the back of this Olympics more young people will get involved in many of the sports, but especially athletics which isn't that glamorous to kids.
Been hearing about the comments from Hoy....pure jealousy and will the change the rules like they did after Beijing to try and stop us dominating again.Good point about the glamour point...id say rowing is more glamorous to kids as that gives you a very good chance of success but also, you have to want it as well...did you see the training how does and the remark about lactic acid?

Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

To get the funding, they first had to be successful. To get the success, you have to look to the work Dave Brailsford was doing 10, 12, more years ago to drag British cycling from an afterthought to a professional unit. The building of the Manchester velodrome was a significant step in that process too, giving the squad a base.

I have just come to a rather depressing conclusion. In 10-20 years time I'm certain that 2012 will be seen as the pinicle of GB Olympics. As such I am making sure I enjoy every one of our golds as much as I can and trying to catch as many of our gold podium presentations as possible and I'm singing the national anthem every time as well.

This has been the best two weeks of viewing sport in my life so far.
Team G.B have given the country a real feel good factor and i feel so proud of their achievements
So sad when it will come to the end...then our over payed, over hyped, selfish, arrogant, under achieving, moaning, whining footballers will take centre stage in the media for the next 9 months

5 golds?? I'll give you Ennis, Brownlee and Clancy. Who are the other 2??
It's Lancashire 7 Yorkshire 6 on the medal count at the minute by my reckoning.
