I'm not a Liverpool fan and I'm not comparing Adam and Alonso. I'm saying he can play that role for LFC, by that I mean a midefielder who can pick a pass and control the pace of the game, something LFC don't have at the moment. Which means Gerrard and Torres getting good ball early and often. Please try to use you brain before posting mate.

i'm not a LFC fan either and being completley devoid of brain cells ie.being a THFC fan since 1961 if you want to mention player of the Alonso category not many come close in the Premiership,maybe Modric ? If you're proposing someone like Adam (decent player ok) LFC might just as well look at someone like Jamie O'Hara who is a class act and would do as goos job as Adam for LFC ie.a hard working,grafting midfielder.If Adam was THAT good he would already be at a 'big' club. Big players cost big money - the King knows that...

Again, not comparing. Just people who have similar attributes. Modric doesn't anyhow IMO.

So Modric is a great long range passer, with quite a good defensive game. Who'd line up as a defensive midfielder? With the ability to go forward, I seriously doubt it. Modric is an attacking player who can go past people and a tricky player. Their games are both different, Huddlestone's attributes are closer to Alonso than Modric. Adam can pick a pass and control the pace of a game. Similar attributes to Alonso but not of the same quality. I suggest your watch a bit more football, you haven't learnt much in your 49 years.
