Trent Bridge is a superb ground these days. Terrific views from the top deck of the Radcliffe Road stand. For anyone who likes real ale I would recommend the Stratford Haven, a few minutes south of the ground on Bridgeford Road. The Vat & Fiddle close to Nottingham station is very good too.

I've been in the Vat & Fiddle a few times, excellent boozer. I'll try and get over to the Stratford Haven at some point as well. Looking forward to it, should be a decent day out if the weather holds up. Not looking good at the minute.

Addington isn't even one of the top 50 clubs in Surrey, their outfield looks like a Sunday League football pitch, he's a teenager from a poor rural background and speaks little or no English. I've seen him interviewed on local tv news (via an interpreter) etc., and seen other people who ought to be mature enough to know better speaking about the whole thing. There are clearly some very close links between the players of Addington and St Luke's (the opposition) and it's fairly plausible that he was easily hoodwinked into thinking it was not a league match with anything at stake but just some sort of "beer match". It's clear everyone else playing in the match knew who he was and seemed to think it was all a bit of a joke. He may well be naive or foolish, but that's not the same as being dishonest or deceitful. A lot of other people, who technically did nothing to warrant any sort of official sanction themselves, have a lot more to answer for if you ask me.
