Godolphin hold the aces here with the favourite Psychic Ability who looks a strong favourite with Frankie up however its stablemate Roman Republic looks interesting at around 16/1 each way. The horse looked one to follow over these sort of races when winning a few times for Mark Johnston but went to Godolphin to race in Dubai where its only run it started 5/4 fav but could only finish 3rd. Its two races this year have both been hotly run handicaps and at first glance have been dissapointing, but on both starts Roman Republic was backed in from 12/1 to 15/2fav and 5/1 to 9/2fav. The Godolphin boys obviously believe its a better horse than it has been showing, but today its been given a few months off and comes back off only a 1lb higher mark than winning last season for Johnston. Id have thought it would have been about 8/1 today but at double that price it looks really good value to run a big race.

Stan James in addition to match-bets A vs. B extra do a bet called the "Threesome" on certian races each day, basically it's a three way match bet so a treble today:
15:10 Nottingham - Barrista @ 7/4 (vs. Fastada and Marc De Savoie) 15:30 Brighton - Prince Valentine @ 7/4 (vs. Outland and Rocky Mood) 16:30 Brighton - Ermyntrude @ 5/6 (vs. Tarita)

Weekend Football Alert.
Stirling vs Dundee
"Dundee FC have entered administration and could be out of business in four weeks' time unless new investment is found for the First Division club.
Administrators PKF will tell players on Friday which of them will be losing their jobs and it is believed the club needs to save £80,000 in wages.
Manager Gordon Chisholm and assistant Billy Dodds could also face redundancy.
Dundee are due a tax bill of £365,000, but are thought to have total debts of around £2m.
Investor Calum Melville has paid £200,000 into the club's lawyers account to help steer the club through the administration process.
And a further £200,000 is believed to be needed to ensure the club can survive until the end of the season."
All the online prices on Stirling have long gone, 7/4 to 5/4 but you might be able to shop around in the morning and get a bit on the coupons with whichever company has kept the price on the coupon too, although expect to be restricted to £50.
Delegator looks a shoe in on Saturday. It is a group one horse and certainly a lot better than these opponents. LTO should have put him right and if odds against looks a steal.
It will be disappointing if Frankel fails to enhance his reputation. I like Dream Ahead a lot but think this horse is at his best with cut in the ground, so have to see how the ground is on Saturday.
Could be a tasty double on the cards. Think I'll leave the Champion Stakes alone. Lots of horses with equal claims, a lot of the field have been on the go a while as well. Probably lay the favourite.

A little bit more on the Dundee situation from their Cheif Exec.
" We asked Harry about radio reports today which suggested that pretty much the whole playing squad would be released, he told us "Fraser Wishart from the SPFA spoke to the players and told them nobody was safe, by the time the players spoke to the media as they left the ground that had been translated as everyone was going - the truth is somewhere in the middle."
Asked if we would field a team at Stirling on Saturday MacLean told us "We will field a team, We are a football club, our business is playing football matches and we'll do that on Saturday."
