You'd have thought the ICC would have learnt from the way the 50 over world cup turned into a damp squib, with a boring not so super 8, but obviously not.
The West Indies weren't a seeded team. They didn't win a game in the last tournament in SA, hence they were in a group with two seeded teams - Sri Lanka and Australia. Bangladesh got the last seeded spot after their display in the last tournament.
