Interesting turn of events if true.

Do City fans not get bored of this? How can you support a team that is basically a team full of mercenaries who are in the team purely for the money? I don't see how City fans can take any glory or sense of achievement from it either, okay the first championship they win might be exciting, but it will get to the point where they can't really fail as every player in their squad is a £30m+ world class player on £150,000 p/w +.

Contrasting to Everton in the friendly against Villareal. If that's the shape the team is in one week from the season starting, questions need to be asked. The pissing about to America, Austria and what not has done them no favours. They all looked lead footed and incapable of passing or recieving a ball.

Best time to try things is pre-season, but Henderson really shouldn't play on the right again. He's definitely a midfielder (not in the Gerrard sense, i.e. the bestest in the world), playing out wide really isn't his game unless you're playing him there purely for work rate/defensive ability, which would be odd.

Rotherham United fan here, off to a good start against Oxford United, 1-0 win, could have easily gone the other way though!

Against my better judgement I watched a small part of the Everton-Villarreal game. Apart from watching an apparently unfit Villarreal team run rings round Everton, the only thing of note was Everton's own fans quite clearly booing their own right-back (or number 2 anyway, Hibbert?) Why was that?

I might be going a bit out in left field here, but I'm assuming it's because he is utter sh*te.

Saw bits of the game and it was hard going at times. Like Holloway said, if that had been in the Premier League Blackpool would have lost 3-1.
As for Hull City, the KC Stadium saw fewer goals than any other Championship ground in 2010/11 (38). More of the same I think.

Not a great start to De Gea's Unites career.
