Shame his time with us has been blighted by big injuries but I still feel he’s been a good signing for us and having his presence in the squad will have helped with our recent turn around, even at his age and with the tough competition for places in the front row he was always in the 17 when fit.

A real shame that he isn't going out on his own terms. That said, I hope he feels a damn sight better going out this way than he would've done had we let him go last season. Finishing at 35 having played your part in winning the world club challenge and at Wembley is far beyond what most players get.

He's had an excellent career and I felt went under the radar a bit in the NRL, no flash in him but consistent on both sides of the ball. Good luck to him.

Sorry to see him retire,but he must do what is right for him and his family. I thought he was a great signing at the time with his vast experience and maturity. Good luck Mike in whatever you do.
