Surprised at that. Me and my eldest lad are planning on going but I was going to wait for the team to be announced thinking they may play Hill, Eckersley, Farrimond etc and it would be an easy win. I think Robertson will play for us if Welsby is indeed back today Edit- Just seen Farrimond, Hill and Douglas playing!! |

Chan and Eseh may have played for their loan clubs yesterday and Eckersly is likely being kept back for the first team. I don't think it will be an easy game judging on the quality of Saints Reserves/Academy and they mullered us a few weeks back. Chan and Eseh did not play yesterday. |

Was a good game. Could have gone either way. Vaughan head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. I liked the look of both your centres. Don’t know their names and your number 8 was a handful |

Sounded like a great game, wish I had gone now but I'm still sulking with the club and I spend enough time and energy watching us home and away so thought I would go the gym and chill at home instead. Vaughan seemingly was the best player on the pitch which makes it even more remarkable that he can't get in the team for a player who managed to throw a forward pass on Saturday from a tap restart. Words fail me. The Saints fans that did go said that Ratchford was outstanding for Wigan along with Farrimond and Hill (although you'd expect that with those two) Strangely enough, Jack Farrimonds Dad replied to a tweet of mine last night and after a couple of tweets back and forth he was full of praise for both youth systems saying "Its not a coincidence that the teams who invest in and back their youth are the clubs who've won the grand final" Very true. And there's a very big chance that it will be a Saints v Wigan Academy final too |

Outside of Mikey Lewis, there aren't any academy players in their top 20/25 players and signing 36/37 year old forwards may work for a year or so but replacements will be needed in the blink of an eye. I look at Wire and the penny looks to be dropping for them (with the help of Burgess). It's the only way to sustain success in a salary capped sport. |

Reserves and Academy should be mandatory under IMG. No players no game simples. |

You do the same on redvee and it’s proper cringe. Why any middle aged man would try and impress random people on the internet is beyond me. |
