Would never have thought he would be the last man standing when we had him, Burgess, Manfredi and Davies. He's done brilliantly.

He mentioned in his Wigan TV interview that Matt Peet joked after his 100th game that he didn't even think he'd make one appearance. I was always surprised that the club looked to cut him adrift in his academy days because I thought he was a cracking prospect every time I watched him play as a youngster (but I think it may have been more due to his attitude to training away from the matches). He's gone on to have an outstanding first team career and here is to plenty more games/trys yet.

Absolute proven match winner (as shown in Hudds & Catalans finals), his contract extension is an no brainer.

Compare him to the likes of Gildart and Burgess who were highly touted academy players.

He’s gone on to have a much better career than both.

No contract more deserved. His attitude and work rate alone make him a special cog in this Wigan team and that's without mentioning his amazing try scoring record! A no-brainer as mentioned elsewhere.
