Was at the 1959 Wembley match when Billy B scored his 2 tries in glorious sunshine. A magnificent comprehensive win by a great side over my Hull team who also had a wonderful team. Coaching Hull that day was another coloured Welsh lad, Roy Francis, who also started his career at Wigan and played for GB scoring 2 tries in his only game before not being selected for an Ashes series in Aus. when his colour became a problem. |
