SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Wish I could have seen Billy in his pomp in the mid/late 50’s

Was at the 1959 Wembley match when Billy B scored his 2 tries in glorious sunshine. A magnificent comprehensive win by a great side over my Hull team who also had a wonderful team.

Coaching Hull that day was another coloured Welsh lad, Roy Francis, who also started his career at Wigan and played for GB scoring 2 tries in his only game before not being selected for an Ashes series in Aus. when his colour became a problem.

Vollenhovens testimonial collection at Knowsley Road? At half time the players went round with buckets, Billy was the last player to leave the field and was given a fantastic ovation by all fans.
