Comfortable win, as it should’ve been looking at the teams. Impressed with Eckersley again and he definitely looks ready to take that next step and be first choice back up to the centres/wingers.

Agreed, he seems to have got bigger since the last time I saw him. Thornley is obviously more developed, but Eckersley has a similar frame.

All in all, it looks positive.

MoM in my opinion, he had the easy beating of Hurrell today. Makin was excellent also, the best forward on the field. It’s always nice to beat Saints but nilling them is better.

Perfect test for Eckersley against Hurrell going in to next season, when he looks like moving up the pecking order. It should give him great confidence coming out on top in that battle.
