Just seen on Instagram, that he's signed a new 4 year deal.

Excellent news & well deserved.

Fantastic news. The only man for the job IMO.

Long May he reign

He’s pretty unique in RL in that he can be quite profound but still have that common touch. As expected, he spoke very well tonight at the IL evening.
I’ve never actually met him but in every interview he comes across as a very level headed lad. When he’s asked a question you can see him digesting the question before he actually answers. I like the guy.
He’s a pretty decent coach too. Another good appointment by IL.
He will have some lows but I’m pretty confident that over the next few years he will deliver far more highs.
Really pleased for him and his family.

Arguably the most important retention we could announce. The architect of a culture at the club which is 2nd to none.

Well deserved. We couldn't be in better hands.

Great news. There'll no doubt be up and downs with any long serving coach but i think we can be fairly confident were in safe hands with Matty in charge.

Good news. Obviously MD values having him as his head coach.

Culture was one of the most used words at last nights Loch Lomond night with Ian Lenagan.

Ian highlighted how much of our success in his tenure was down to reinventing the club's culture by hiring proud, motivated, honest staff who knew what Wigan rugby meant for the fans and the town.

Matty Peet embodies this and goes about his business with respect and integrity. You don't see him going on big sulks or whinges - he focuses on us getting better each day and I think thats why we're back competing.

I also like the fact he entrusts his staff with responsibilities
