Now it's semi-official, iv'e been drawn to watching every part of his game so far. Only 20 gone but he looks a player. Aaaaaand, a kicker, finally. 2 lung busting props now please. Or 1 and a stand off. Next season looks very promising thus far.

This is where collateral stats don't back up real life. Davies and Johnstone have scored a hat full of tries so you can assume most of his kicks have been on the touchline. He has looked very comfortable with the 2 he has had so far tonight, kicks that Smith would have probably fluffed given his recent attempts. It will be nice to watch Smith play without that added pressure on his game because he was outstanding last season.

He’s a totally different style of centre to King ‘if’ that’s where he’s going to play. He looks to have plenty of class about him, good footwork, good passer etc and plays with his head up. It’s good to have options and you wouldn’t be surprised if he starts at centre or stand off. That will work itself out in our minds as we see who else comes in I guess.

I think he may play stand off. We are chasing a centre.

Correct! He’s been dodgy with that on a couple of occasions tonight.

Him and Tom Davies on the same pitch, the 2 most awkward play the balls in super league.

Once you noticed Davies you’ll never not look at it.
