I have just looked at the game again and Wigan where very lucky not to loose that game today on catch up and have to admit i thought there was was nothing wrong with the pass! The game needs to have VAR at all games just like Football and Tennis games cricket so decisions are 100 percent correct! Imagine the amount of games that Wigan won and lost due to borderline passes and touchline decisions! :READING:

Look at how the ball comes out of Matautia’s hands.

Football has VAR we just have a video ref and funnily enough said video ref was in attendance yesterday. FWIW I thought the pass was at least a yard forward. If you look at the shading on the pitch from where the ball was passed to where it was caught you will see a clear forward pass.

The pass was at least 2 yards forward. Can see from the grass line on the pitch. But I've seen em given.

I'd be spewing if it was a forward pass against us...not because it wasn't forward, but because of how many of those are not given (I would say 95%). They used to call it the momentum rule if I remember correctly. Union VR have it right as they're allowed to judge on forward passes, unlike ours. Would have been given a no try in Union too on review.
