Same here. Only one I’m torn on is the use of Singleton from the bench. If he’s not starting, I’d be tempted to go with Mago. The other 16 are pretty easy picks IMO. One thing we can’t do again is go with 4 props on the bench like in the play offs semi.
Most of the team picks itself - Peet's main tasks with selection are deciding are better starting props and who are better bench props, whether we want to use two interchanges on a hooker rotation and whether we feel we need a backrower/centre in Willie Isa on the bench.
I personally don't think we need Isa with the versatility of some of our front rowers/back rowers. I think we need to get into the habit of using interchanges for #9 to mix it up mid game and to give Powell a breather. The decision around starting/bench props is tougher and there will likely be different opinions. Definitely think Cooper should start - outside of that Im not sure it matters too much.

The sad thing about Singo is two fold
1. He's easily (in regards to ability) the worst prop we've got, however, he'll play most weeks.
2. He'll undoubtedly get a two year deal, taking up that converted "WTF" contract extension slot Radders seems to love to give to players who aren't good enough..

Agreed, not sure what Peet sees in him but obviously he knows more about the game than me. He did come off the bench in the friendly so maybe demoted from his automatic starter role.
Clubb in 2019 was a dreadful extension, Isa in 2021 wasn’t great, Singleton will be next.

Glad someone agrees. Some on here have him as some kinda mystical prop who performs magic that the lay person can't see.
I'll admit tho, there's two parts & two completely different issues when it comes to Singo imo
1. I don't think it's about Peet "knowing more about rugby" it's more about Peet valuing certain things over others. I'll agree it's a tough decision between Mago and Singo. I'd understand why Singo is picked. I'd pick Mago tho. Work rate Vs the chance of something special..
But,
2. If he's offered a new contract, then it's a real lack of RL IQ by the club. Fans (other than those who love to clap) won't be happy and the team won't progress either. It's an easy win to replace him imo. Promote Byrne (already better) or, go to market. It can't be hard to find someone better.
