Post subject:  Read this in the latest issue of League Express!

In this week's League Express, there is a letter in which I wrote about the decline of the mental health of players when they retire from playing, of referees when they retire from refereeing and of supporters as they grow old. My suggestion for anybody who wants to keep mentally healthy, is to write a novel based loosely on their own life and times, one that should include stories based on the lives of themselves, their relatives, neighbours and work mates and also from their own connections with the world of rugby league.
Many people tell me that they would love to do this but would not even know how to start it. With them in mind, in addition to my having written six novels based on my experiences as a rugby league fan since 1947, I have also written three pages of general advice on how it can be done. E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and ask me to send you "Geoff Lee's Rugby League Writing Notes" and see how I have done it.
However if you prefer to read my latest novel "Three Good Years" set between 2006 and 2008 first or to give it as a Christmas present to someone who likes having a good laugh, then visit London League Publications web site at http://www.llpshop.co.uk . and click on Books and then Fiction. Of particular interest to Wigan fans
is the fact that the second main character in the whole series is the young Welsh orphan girl who drifts north in 1962 and discovers much later in life that her mother, who she never knew, attended the same school in Cardiff and at the same time as Billy Boston did!
