Reckon Derek has spent an evening (after a few shandies) trawling Google images found one and thought "that will do", save image as "Leigh Leperds" and sent off to the shirt manufacturers.
Apparently the reason behind it? His love for leopards!! He's the kind of person that will have a pub bar in his front room with leopard print and sheepskin rugs all over the house.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
On a serious note you can understand the supporter frustration, 100+ years of tradition (club colours) out of the window overnight. How the hell can you fit red and white colours around a frigging leopard?
