Confirmed this morning Jai has won the Writers and Broadcasters Player of the year award with 61% of the vote. Croft came second, with Welsby not in the top 5. Early indicator for MOS award perhaps. Very worthy winner of the award in my opinion. He had shown different dimensions to his game after initially dazzling with his pace to later in the year highlighting his creative and passing ability also. |

Not only has he (along with French) brought a level of excitement to Superleague with his pace that, perhaps, we haven't had enough of in recent seasons but he's shown that he has the skill to compliment that pace. Too many, mainly opposition, fans wrote him off too early as nothing more than pace but he's shown he's far more than that. Well done Jai. MOS should follow if there's any justice. |
