Imagine in the years Wigan had to play 3 or 4 games a week just like "mission impossible" season they said weve just played the cup final and cannot be bothered to play the next game just as Saints and Cas have done Wigan would not have won the trophies! Why is it that all fottball games and rugby union can be played and tennis games but not all rugby league can be played :READING:

we did put weekened teams out and lose a couple of them games, dont think they had a choice with injuries, bans and fatigue, I think it was that season anyway as I watched it a couple of weeks ago on Wigan TV

In 1990-91, we played 12 games between March 10th and April 13th, we won 11 and drew 1.

Yes, that was quite a season too. An unhappy ship under John Dorahy ended with League, Cup, Premiership and a World Club Challenge win in Brisbane. Great days

…and the coach getting sacked!

Madness on the face of it but we all know delving below the surface he was only really coach in name.

A lot of those teams were made up from bin men and window cleaners though.

I cannot recall Curly Watts or George Formby turning out, but Bob Jackson wasn't bad for a bin man.

Seem to remember Ged Byrne being a "Vision Technician".
