As always I would request people consider their replies if anyone wants to have a say. FWIW I think his attitude over the lat 18months or so is to be highly commended and the clubs part in this (especially Rads and IFL) should not be understated "Zak Hardaker was a brilliant guest. He spoke with me for two hours all about his life, his new baby, his mistakes and his new goals. Please can you share it amongst your fellow Warriors fans and spread it around? I'd really appreciate it" What interview? Is there a link? |

Look forward to listening to this. I didn’t want him anywhere near the club when he signed given the baggage he brought with him. I have to say though he had totally proven me wrong and honestly he is probably one of the players I look forward to watching since his move to centre, which I’m convinced is his natural position. He looks to have embraced his second chance ( probably had more than that to be fair) and has become a key part of the team and a real leader in the field. That nagging doubt regarding his off field behaviour will always be there for me but long may he continue to prove me wrong. I think it looks nailed on Bateman will be captain next year, however I wouldn’t have been upset to see himself that honour. |

I’ve always liked the lad and he was one the few SL stars I wanted at the club during his time with Leeds and then Cas,he’s a class act, daft as a brush it seemed yes but a class act nontheless. It was a big gamble by the club to bring him here and one I supported though hoping it would pay off I’d say it has,he seems settled enjoying his rugby and more importantly he seems to be enjoying life which is the most important part I hope he sees his career out with Wigan. |

Very detailed interview & well worth taking a couple of hours out of your day to watch it. Also a really interesting insight into the Grand Final, 'that' penalty miss, and post-match chat back in the changing room. We all know about his past indiscretions, but he adds much deeper thoughts here. He isn't shy in baring all & although he does fumble the odd word or two, it's a very lucid look into his world pre-Wigan. As an earlier poster likewise said, Zak was always one of those rival players that I wanted to see in the Cherry & White, and very interesting comments at the end of the interview, about giving the past him advice if he could go back. Zak hesitates a bit there, because he basically thinks that if events hadn't unfolded in the way that they did, then he likely wouldn't be at Wigan now. Good to hear. Not sure about the Leeds Utd top though!! |

Thanks for the link Will listen to it tonight on my daily walk I frequent the site several times a day and have done for years and I can’t immediately recall any nasty comments against Hardaker or any other player for that matter. My eldest son has already listened to it and he says that it is really interesting. |
