The RFL made a loss of over 300k last year! They blame the small crowd at the Challenge Cup Final last year as the main reason! The game is dying a slow death i afraid!. There are a few reasons for the this but i do blame the Salary Cap as the main reason. The Semi Finals are being played at a Ground where they are Millions in Debt and cannot afford the wages of the staff! In the old days we use to see huge turnouts for the Cup e.g. over 30,000 Wigan fans used to come to Wembley for the Cup Final and know where lucky to send 300 or so fans to the the game at Warrington a few months ago! Why did 4,000 Wigan fans go to Fans go to Barcelona when it was just a money making game for the French! Surley the Cup game was more important Why are is the World Club Challenge always played in the UK? Where are the u21s? We let drug taking players given a second chance! i think Wigan is the only club in the UK to give Hock and Hardaker "second chances" People are put off from hearing stories of Drug taking players. I think Eddie and Stevo retired because they knew the game was rubbish! :READING:

You literally admitted the other day that you haven't been to a game since 2011. If the RFL are in debt and attendances are falling, you're part of the problem!

You been on the booze again Frisky?

You're criticising the sport yet you are part of the problem, you freely admit that you don't attend games anymore.

Semi finals at BWFC? What's that got to do with anything?

Comparing Wembley crowds to Wire away? Really?

I was at Wembley sat with all the Catalans fans, I thought there would be 200 fans but there were thousands, I’d never experienced anything like it before.

The problem is the neutrals who stayed away from the Challenge Cup Final but with Magic Weekend it’s going to happen.

You're really in no position to talk, mate. No one is who refuses to attend any games.

Not to mention the thousands of empty seats at the Grand Final between two of the best supported clubs in the game.

RL is falling further and further behind other sports whether we like it or not. The poor structure of the top 8 playoffs was blamed for the falling attendances and then the Super 8's (which I preferred) because nobody knew the fixtures and now we have changed to a supposed much favoured structure we are still seeing falling attendances. Personally, I think Sky has killed the game. Football can afford to mess fans about and change fixtures or play them on Thursday nights because there are literally millions of people watch the sport and stadiums will sell out (or be close to it) regardless. Man Utd for example will take 3,000 to Southampton at 2am on a Tuesday morning simply because the demand is there. Rugby league clubs average an away following of circa 1k. Once you start to mess them about you are looking at followings of 500 and the poor attendances we are seeing.

Add to that the fact that everyone now plays on a Friday night and it makes it even harder for your average fan to attend a game. Why move the kick off of non televised matches to 7.45? Why play the likes of Hull at home on a Friday? Give them half a chance and play it on a Saturday tea time. I'd bet that had the Hull game stayed as Saturday it would have been one of the best away followings of the season there. Instead they'll be lucky if there is 700 there.

The next TV deal is massive for the sport but sadly I think it will be Sky again on a shoe string who will continue to drive a nail into the coffin.

This is true, Sky are killing the game. Once you drop out of the habit of going to matches you stop going, especially away games. Every game should be on a Sunday afternoon 3pm kick off except for the Sky game, sod the Thursday night game off and have it on Saturdays like they used to. Sky made the Premier League what it is by funding it, they need to put more into League or we need to leave.
