I've just bought the rugby league express and they've done a Super League rookies to watch article. The rookies are:
Bradford: James Donaldson Castleford: John Davies Catalans: Tony Gigot Celtic: Elliot Kear Harlequins: Ben Jones - Bishop Huddersfield: Larne Patrick Hull F.C: Dennis Tuffour Hull K.R: Scott Taylor Leeds: Luke Ambler Salford: Jack Spencer St Helens: Jonny Lomax Wakefield: Dale Morton Warrington: Tyrone McCarthy Wigan: Josh Vievers
I haven't heard of most of them but Jonny Lomax is a good call, everyone used to rave on about him as a junior. I can't see Vievers getting a game next season with Phelps at full back and Richards/Roberts most likely providing cover, so I reckon our rookie to watch should be Liam Farrell. We've lost two second rowers since last season and it's a position where you get a lot of injuries so I reckon he'll get a few games, plus he was the academy player of the year so he'll probably take his chance well when it comes. Which youngster do you think will have a big year in 2010?*
*I've included players with squad numbers but less than 10 games in the poll, it would be too easy to include Ainscough and Mossop

That's quite longsighted of you
Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.

Really? I've not really heard much about them until recently.

They are all good players but there is a difference between being a good player at this level and being able to last in super league, so many come in and fail.
I think the ones most likely to make it at Wigan are....
Liam Farrell Ben Davies John Walker Joe Mellor Josh Charnley
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

I think a lot depends on the position the youngster plays as to whether they'll get any game time or not.
Because of this my vote would go to either Farrel or Davies, plus those two have been on the fringe a while longer than some of the others on the list.
Wigan vs Leeds finals aggregate score.
Wigan 178 - 64 Leeds
Wigan wins - 6 Leeds wins - 0
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!
Liam Farrell is definatley the one to watch next season. I'm looking forward to seeing him this year just as much as I was looking forward to Sam getting a go last year.
Don't let your love turn to hate Now we've got to keep the faith
I hope Sam Gee gets a run out ,and Liam Farrell is one to watch has are the other lads who have been mentioned , but i don't think there will be to many opportunity's for the younger lads such Ben Davies ETC ,As talented as they are .
usury = slavery //maxkeiser.com/
You misunderstand...putting the bins out in Leeds involves the use of a fire extinguisher...
Are us and Cas not included or did you miss them out ?
I would say the one for us would be James Donaldson.
