I've just been thinking that I prefer having this new coaching set up (not proved yet of course) than having won the Challenge Cup. It seems that if we had won the Cup things would have been status quo. However, I'm excited about next season. Much more excited than I would have been with the Challenge Cup in the trophy cabinet and nothing changing.

Challenge cup no doubt. Trophy drought has gone on too long.

Having listened to the Rugby league programme on GMR last night I think the whole town is excited about our prospects for next season. I can't wait and this season is only just finishing.

I believe i would feel a lot smugger than I am now (ala Hemmings), but IMO Noble would still have gone even if he won the CC.
You can call me greedy but I would have taken both CC and a new exciting coaching set up.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the new coaching setup.

New coaching set up obviously as it was shown you are not good enough to win the challenge cup

Spot on, as Wane mentions in his interview "change was needed and its not acceptable".

Maybe one way to look at this would be; would Warrington have preferred the CC with the prospect of Lowes in charge for the forseeable future, or have Smith to look forward to for the coming seasons. I understand that the parallels aren't exact and that their trophy drought was somewhat longer than ours, but I still fail to see how many would take the trophy and Lowes rather than Smith and the prospect of challenging for/winning trophies for many seasons to come.
