Now first of all I want to point out that this is not an 'I told you so' thread! But having just spent an hour with a good mate of mine who is as Wigan as they come, the question of Martin Gleeson came up. Ofcourse on Saturday I was a nervous wreck and had put away a few beers but I honestly don't remember him touching the ball. Come to think of it, has he had much of an influence at all since you took him from us earlier in the season?

We all know his qualities, but his 'big-game' attitude seems to be non-existent at the moment.

Thoughts....

been very lack lustre since he came to wigan makes you wonder why warrington got rid of him?

It's called a transfer fee, coupled with a big chunk of salary potentially being taken off their hands.

Has given us more in that troublesome centre spot than we have had in a good while.

His timing does look a little off though which should have improved by now and the partnership with Roberts is hit and miss, both can be blamed for this though.

Looked to be really finding hit feet prior to his lay off of a couple of weeks ago and i feel this has set him back a bit.

Did not have a good game on Saturday but this was not helped by our lack of forwards on the day.

I'm not a fan of his, not thought much of him whichever club he has been at.

Anyone would look average behind the pack we have. Look what it did to Barrett.

Gidley looked average on sunday and they were battered up front.

Theres no denying that the team has improved since we got him, we play a more expansive game now from carmonts and richards side to gleeson and roberts side with phelps linking up with both. Whereas we used to just rely on the Carmont/Hock side to win us games.

Its no good if we haven't got the go forward. More stronger runs and quicker play the balls and we will see the best out of both our forwards.
