I'm putting the trials and tribulations of Wigan out of my mind and have stopped looking at teletext to see if Noble's been sacked.
Instead, I'm concentrating on the things that please me.
1. Catalans have been worthy of their place in Superleague.
2. The grass roots in London is booming.
3. Melling (a wiganer) looked excellent against Hull K R and in other matches.
4. Got the 4 nations to look forward to.
5. Hull K R are back where they belong.
6. Watching matches on Sky (so much rugby on TV was unheard of when I was young)
7. Burgess is back to his best for England.
8. Watching rugby at improved stadia.
9. Summer rugby.
10. Halifax on the up.

and it's beer garden weather

11. Positive steps in the youth development department across rugby league as a whole.

The main one imo.

As a whole the game seems to be getting it's act together in terms of bringing youngsters through with teams from Saints, Leeds and Wigan down to Cas, Quins and Salford giving youth it's chance and investing in the future.

There still are one or two teams that need a kick up the ar*e but we're getting there and that can only bode well for the future.

The games as average as i've known it accross the board at the minute but the youth coming through makes me certain it won't be like that for too long.
