I think only Saints have scored more trys in the league than we have and look at our position in the table.

I could not agree more, lets smash em all over on Sat :x

True. But the long kicking game and solid defence in their half worked wonders in the first half last time we played them.

We lost because we couldn't take our scoring chances.

I don't think in our game V Stains 3 weeks ago that defence was the problem. It was our attack that lacked the cutting edge, and here lies the problem...

Drop Smith=Improves our defence immeasurably but reduces our attacking threat

Include Smith=Gives us far more options going forward but he's a deffo weaklink in defence

BUt with the withdrawal of Piggy I think that decision has been taken away from our esteemed coach

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...

20th: Wigan
The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.

We lost because they went into our 20 three times all match and scored each time.

If we could defend we would have won. Compare Stains goal line defence during that game to ours and that was the difference.

We've played a game more than the rest of the league so thats a reason for that.

Plus (although Saints have the same issue) you have to kick your goals and Wigan have only kicked only 33 from 54 tries.

Best Attack

1 St Helens 30.8 points per game
2 Harlequins 26.3 points per game
3 Hull Kingston Rovers 25.4 points per game
4 Castleford Tigers 24.8 points per game
5 Wakefield Wildcats 24 points per game
6 Wigan Warriors 23.8 points per game
7 Huddersfield Giants 22.7 points per game
8 Warrington Wolves 22.6 points per game
9 Catalans Dragons 22.3 points per game
10 Leeds Rhinos 22 points per game
11 Hull FC 21.2 points per game
12 Bradford Bulls 20.3 points per game
13 Salford City Reds 16 points per game
14 Celtic Crusaders 14.2 points per game

Best Defence

1 Leeds Rhinos 13.7 points against per game
2 St Helens 16.1 points against per game
3 Hull Kingston Rovers 17.1 points against per game
4 Huddersfield Giants 17.9 points against per game
5 Harlequins 19.8 points against per game
6 Wakefield Wildcats 20 points against per game
7 Hull FC 20.3 points against per game
8 Wigan Warriors 20.7 points against per game
9 Castleford Tigers 24.8 points against per game
10 Catalans Dragons 27.4 points against per game
11 Bradford Bulls 27.9 points against per game
12 Warrington Wolves 28.5 points against per game
13 Celtic Crusaders 31.1 points against per game
14 Salford City Reds 32.8 points against per game

Funilly enough channel flicking I caught a bit of Sky's "Rugby Club" and theres Shaun Edwards telling a load of welsh convicts trying to turn their lifes around by playing union........

Quote:One of the most exciting parts of Rugby is defence because you can get up and smash your opposition and don't get arrested for it. Make sure you really emphasise you talk in defence, inspiring each other defensively. And I'll tell you what you'll get a great buzz from it. Theres no better feeling in the world.
