Aslong as it is a way of giving him a rest and Noble does really plan on brining him back in asap then i have no problem with it. If it's another Noble case of blaming the youngster for the teams problems and because he's the easiest man to drop then i won't be best pleased. We'll find out in the next few weeks i suppose. |

Not when it was as plain as day the player who needed resting was Richards. Dave |

Dave Players have fitness tests, Richards would have had to pass to play. Edward. |

The point still stands. Richards was not comfortable out there and fitness test or not it was yet another poor selection decision by Noble. Ainscough supposedly needs to work on some aspects of his game well what better practice match do you want? Leeds? The perfect match to rest him would in fact be a game against a side like Leeds. This I would have thought was obvious. It was also Noble who was saying just a few weeks ago age doesn't count it is the players ability (or some such words) well take away Richards goal kicking and it is starting to get to the stage Ainscough should be in the side on merit alone. All this duty of care tosh is just that, tosh. Ainscough (and Tomkins) are old enough to be in a SL sides first 17 on a regular basis and their form is also good enough to keep them there. Or it would be if we had a coach with a brain. Dave |
