lets bring back passion to the club and build for the future.get rid of the aussies and bring back some of the boys who have passion and flare for the club. own grown players who the club brought throw as youngsters and are now playing well at other clubs because the club wanted big names instead of passion. Players like briscoe, allen, ballard brothers, coyles, colbornect ect..... All those players when played in the acadamy should have made wigan greats but was not given there chance.I am sure wigan fans would sooner watch a team of own grown players playing with passion than an over payed team of so called aussie and yorkshire superstars.

Yeah - Let's start by sacking Pat Richards and George Carmont today.

Both Aussie, so must be both overpaid and rubbish.

And as to Allan, Coyle and Colbon - Remind me which SuperLeague club they are "starring" for now ???

Oh, that's right. They're not good enough to be at the heart of any other SL club, so why should WE be made to accept them, just because they happened to grow up in the area ???

Get a grip ffs.

The clubs been on a downward spiral for quite some time!, In my opinion Wigan has lost the Wigan heart and soul (home grown players),

We have alot of aussies etc within the side, which on paper are very talented, however they have failed to play to their maximum.

It's not much fun being a Wigan fan these days, theirs so much inconsistency within the team, and the worrying thing is they have never been able to sort that problem out!

Nobby is trying but it isn't working, he keeps saying the right things, and i think he genuinly beleives in what hes saying, but us as supporters (the paying public) aren't seeing much change.

The way the team played against Saint's last Thursday was the best i have seen them for ages!, however they had a spell in the match where they lost the composure and had spells in the match where they failed to convert their opportunities and thats what cost them on that day.

Catalans away in my opinion came too soon for them, they were shot, completely dead on their feet!. They started well and then just ran out of gas!. The Dragons picked us apart, and got through at will and in the end deserved to win!.

So what happens next?

On the face of it things don't look great for the rest of the season, we have lost a large % of our matches already, and it's essential that for things to get better, the team must find their composure and i think the chairman needs to do something, Noble is a good coach with what he did at Bradford. However he at the moment has failed to succeed with the challenge of Wigan. Maybe it is time to make a change? and bring someone else in, preferably a Wiganer, I think right now that is what the team need!

Ever heard of Bell and Hanley? I could go on rattling the names off but Wigan have had plenty of overseas and non Wigan born or produced players over the years in the successful sides.

They were part of sides that had passion and a will to win.

It isn't where you are from that counts it is having the right attitude and players like these had it in spades.

Whether some of our current overseas players are out of the same mould is perhaps debatable but that does not mean the solution is employing the likes of those ex-Wigan players you list.

We haven't missed one bar Briscoe and as every man and his dog knows he was behind Radlinski so had little option but to leave if he wanted first team footy.

Again with the "Wiganer" bit.

Which GOOD Wigan-born coaches have we had recently ???

And were the following Wigan-born? :

John Monie
Graeme Lowe
Frank Endacott
Stuart Raper

Admittedly, our best coach (imo) of recent times was born in Wigan, and that was Mike Gregory.

However, having a Wigan-born coach matters not one jot to me, as long as we get in a motivator, who will take no cráp from the players

Briscoe fair enough, but we couldn't keep him and Radlinski. Ashton would be more to the point but we couldn't compete with union for him. Allen had his chance and wasn't good enough, same with the Coyles. Colbon was alright but only as cover. I've never seen the Ballards play but they don't seem to be cracking any pots elsewhere. Having a big academy means letting a lot of young players go, that doesn't make us a bad club it's just neccessary.

Watching the players behind the sticks in catalan on monday i would say there isnt much passion there we dont have a loud captain that shouts at the players when a try as been scored at least for the 2 past years we had trent who looked to be a decent talker.
