Sounds a great idea by the club to try and achieve a record crowd

I was on about this last night and i'll be taking at least 3 or 4 people with me who don't normally go.

If thats the case with alot of people we must be looking at a 20k+ crowd.

Good effort from the club but I can't see Leeds bringing too many on a Friday night with the mythical M62 nightmare and the crowd in the South Stand has been very poor all season.

the way we have been playing is hardly going to make the casual fan want to part with his money.

What are the club doing to attract the Casual Fan to the Celtic game next weekend?

Absolutely nothing on the website re incentives, yet it was heralded as the Community Game last November when the fixtures.

I think we are doing a Latics, giving away plenty of free tickets

A few wins between now and then would make a massive difference.
There were 22200 on last Thursday with around 6000 from Saints. That's 16000 Wigan fans, how many of those actually felt that Wigan would win that game? We still all turned up though!
Imagine what a winning team could do to the gates!

With respect to Celtic nothing the club does will make the casual fan turn up.

However against Leeds you would get 15k-16k at normal entry fees, mainly season ticket holders. By giving reduced admission the club will be expecting 20k plus.

A great atmosphere and a good game of rugby (which it will be) irrespective of the result and many of those casual fans will come again

I think you will find that the club have actually done alot for this fixture.
There are kids rugby tournaments on in the morning across Wigan, then they get tickets to the game after, parents etc of the kids get reduced price tickets. All the kids will then do a lap of the pitch at half time.
