watched the hull derby thought briscoe was excellent he is very brave in defence and a strong runner with the ball from kicks thought this is what were missing, i no pat is doing a job for us but hes a winger any thoughts

I'm just glad it all worked out for him, and maybe we'll see him in Cherry and White again one day. Who knows?

He got away because we had the best fullback in the country and one of our alltime greats in his position at the time. Nobody can be blamed for him leaving and he won't be coming back anytime soon. Thats a shame as he's a fine player.

He did play well, as did Dobbo, I'd like them both back. Saying that, I could actually see Phelps developing into a Briscoe type player.

Briscoe is a true FB, Richards is a winger asked to play there and is 'filling in' doing a decent job. But there is no comparison between a true FB and someone filling in. Problem with Wigan is now we have 3 wingers who people want to start, Pat, Amos and and Ainy. Cos of this we've missing out not having a true FB. Look at the top teams Saints/Leeds, both ave true FB's, its a key role.
