Regardless of what position he should be in the team whether it be at 9,7 or 6 the guy imo has been one of our best players this season. His broken field running is one of the best in the league and he seems to have developed this knack of getting under tackles or bouncing off players and then accelerating away into space. When Tommy attacks the line he is an undoubted threat. Has anyone heard any news about Wigan opening talks with him about a new deal as he's off contract at then end of the season? Imo Wigan need to make it a priority and get him signed up ASAP. It’s time to put the foundations down for the future based on good young talent like him, Tomkins x2, Ainscough & Prescott. If any of our players deserves a new deal for me it's Tommy as he's a far, far better player than when he signed for us which is a rarity in recent years. |

Yeah he has agreed a deal, just needs to sign on the dotted line. |

Woohoo had him on my shirt last year and my mate laughed. He's a belter and I've been saying it for years |

I imagine for less than he is currently on, if rumours are to be believed. |

Had a great first half but thought he faded a bit in the second half. |

Totally agree. I have never been his biggest fan but this season he has stood out more than anyone. Hope he stays with us |

Since he shaved that ridiculous mullet off he's improved leaps & bounds. Great tackler, breaks tackles regularly himself, and is starting to boss games more. Should be remembered that Tomkins is now his 3rd half-back partner in the last year, and these always take time to develop, but the 2 of them should be our half-backs for the long-term. |

A friend was telling me that Tommy was at the Riversiders meeting and was asked about playing 7 or 9. Apparently he started at 9 for NZWarriors and Daniel Anderson moved him to 7. Interesting that in the World Cup Wayne Bennett moved him from 7 to 9. It was starting at 9 in the semi he killed us in the first 20 mins. So perhaps if you go with Daniel Anderson he should play 7. If you'd prefer to trust Wayne Bennett then Tommy's best position is at 9. |

Tommy looked furious that we'd lost last night. I was really pleased to see that. The more players we have for whom losing is unacceptable, the better. Give him another contract, I say. |
