Improvement. Defence was solid. The main thing Noble needs to do now is concentrate on attack and get rid of Fielden.

I for one was expecting a 20 - 30 point drumming, but im happy with tonight.

Fielden was pretty awful.

Even though we lost, i'm not really disappointed, that was a massive performance from Wigan.

Thought tonight was a good effort from Wigan, and I can take defeats as long as the effort is there. A massive improvement in my opinion. There are still aspects to improve on, we did miss a few opportunities, such as when we had 3/4 consecutive sets of 6 in front of the Saints line, we should have scored from that. But overall I thought we did well and was expecting us to lose by a lot more than 7 points :)

I'm more disappointed than I thought I would be, simply because we more than matched them tonight. We hit harder in defence, ran well and were dominant throughout - we just lacked it when it counted in attack and when Saints got some open play. I really thought we could win it.

That said, they won it on a lucky bounce, and I would've given Hock's try.

Well done. Proud of yer!

We were so much better tonight. Massive improvement across the board.

We need to back it up against Catalan and go to France and win.

Excuses? We won. Why would we need to make excuses?

You don't. As you quite rightly point out you won. However, I think only the most blinkered of Saints fans would argue that you weren't outplayed tonight and had we had the 'bounce of the ball' would have won quite easily. Maybe you find that an irrelevance, but as we haven't been playing particularly well, we don't....
