May be in the minority here but I wasn't impressed. Agreed he put in some decent kicks but way too early in the set on too many occasions. God know's why he kicked it into touch when Saints made the little grubber up the wing in our half; pick the ball up and run with it! Doesn't look confident at all with ball in hand, awful error just in front of our line and I'm sure a couple of knock-ons/dropped balls the ref let go were forward. Perhaps I'm being overly critical and I'll probably watch the game again to get a better view but right now I'm not impressed. |

I agree with PA, he made quite a lot of mistakes, in particular the unforced knockon only metres from our own line. If Pat isn't fit for Catalans, I'd rather put Tomkins at FB and bring in Smith than play Phelps again. |

Thought he actually did OK TBH. Sure he was a little rusty and made a couple of mistakes, but then, who never makes mistakes? IIRC he didn't come as a full back, and of course, if Pat is available he won't get to play, however as a utility centre/winger, he'll be needed if Ainscough or Roberts gets injured. |

I agree in principle however (although now isn't the time for this debate) we can't afford to waste a quota spot on a utility back. |

Thought he did well apart from the knock on and kicking the ball dead, which he knew was an error by the look on his face afterwards. Good cut out ball for Ainscoughs second try. |
