With Saints and Catalan just after the Barrow game we need to rest a few key players. Richards & Carmont are our only backs who are actually an attacking threat and we can’t afford to lose them in a game that we should win.

Pryce, Goulding, Farrell and Mossop all deserve the same chance Tomkins got last season against Whitehaven don’t they?

We should be strong enough to blood a few youngsters and still come away with the W shouldn’t we?

With such a short turn around before I can see several big names rested and fringe youngsters/those who are dropped from first team regualarly. I would go with:

Mathers
Roberts
Goulding
Pryce
Thornley
Phelps
Smith
Prescott
Riddell
Davies
Farrell
Mossop
Flanagan

Tuson
J. Tomkins
Coley
Mcillorum

This should be good enough to beat what will be a spirited and determined Barrow shirt, purely because the youngsters will play with pride and show the first teamers that play what it means to play in a wigan shirt.

A good mix of youth/experience. And i'd like to see what Sam/Smith will do at the halves.

If Noble is daft enough to pick a 2nd team to come up to Cumbria then he is taking a massive risk and might as well box his belongings up ready for the heave ho. Wigan are low on confidence and if Barrow beat Halifax tonight they will be very confident going into the Wigan game. Even with your strongest 13 I think it will be a lot tighter than your supporters anticipate (based on recent performances) I am looking forward to a cracking game all the same.

Play a team of kids and im confident Barrow will turn you over. Im not trying to antagonise, im just giving my opinion.
