Fair enough assessment Bilko, not enough mention of the ineptitude of Bentham if you ask me !

Maybe. I don't disagree with ya but I do feel he gave us enough penalties, certainly first half but we repeatedly didn't punish them. Thats the extra edge we lack at the moment.

Spot on that Bilko. I just feel it was won in the forwards. Our pack just aint good enough, backs will only play well behind a good pack and ours are just not putting it in...

Bang on mate.

I think we discussed this during the game.

We did. I do ramble on during games about the same point over and over again! Because they never learn!

The game was won by the Hudds pack and their Nathan Brown tactics.
Brown sent his men out to "test" the referee by slowing the play the ball and Wigan's complete sets. Bentham failed the test totally.
The Wigan team also failed the test at home, again.
Our pack just isn't up to it. They're a mile off.
We've only two forwards who can bust a tackle, Hock & Feka. The rest didn't make a tackle bust all night.
No use Dearden & Turley banging on about Tomkins and Ainscough. The real problem for Sam T is that most weeks he'll be playing behind a beaten pack. Like any half back under those circumstances he won't do it.
Until we have sent a number of players out through the departure lounge and freed up a large chunk of salary cap money will we be able to bring in the calibre of forwards we need at least to win more games than we lose in a season.
Challenging for silverware seems so far off it's unreal.
