In this weeks Wigan Observer Kris Radlinski says his phone is always switched on if Mathers needs any help or advice . What do you think is it just a lack of confidence or a lack of the basic skills needed to be a top full back |

What do you think is it just a lack of confidence or a lack of the basic skills needed to be a top full back Seeing Chris is now on the coaching team he should be with Mathers on the park never mind on the phone add to that Vievers is there 2 Mathers is hardly short of FB's to ask questions 2 is he? |

It may seem a long time ago now but there's no doubt in my mind anyway that Mathers had some storming games for Leeds at fullback. Personally I think its more a confidence issue than anything else. If Radders can help him in any way then great, but I think its certainly too late to save his Wigan career. You can't help but wonder where he'll end up in 2010, given his recent form and injuries. I do have a feeling he will get another shot in a Wigan jersey somewhere down the line this season so hopefully he can get put himself in the shop window then. |

What do you think is it just a lack of confidence or a lack of the basic skills needed to be a top full back the lad is never a top flight full back. im sorry but it wouldnt matter if radlinski, sullivan, aubert and lockyer gave him advice, he still wouldnt be my first choice No1. |

Mathers has lost the supporters and all his confidence, to recover both would take a superhuman special effort, or a match winning 100m try v Saints at Wembley. The irony behind losing the fans, is he is one of our most passionate players about the jersey and knows what it means to play for Wigan. I will never understand why it didnt work. |

can we not get Paul McKenna to hypnotise him, so when he hears 'conquest of paradise' he pretends to be Radders instead? |

Mathers was going to text Radlinski last week, but he dropped his phone. |
