It's getting beyond a joke now. I know alot of these pro Rugby players arent the sharpest tools in the box but the fact they get themselves in such states knowing they are massive public figures in Austrailia just feeds the media and makes them look like complete planks.

and dont forget Jake Friend, the Roosters young hooker, caught drink driving 3 times over the limit last monday, after a club organised drinking session. Although, he did get fined $10,000 which is a hell of alot considering he is only on $50,000 a year contract...

He was drunk and threw a bit of pizza? Jesus Christ, call the bl00dy police. I accept that he's a public figure and everything, much more so than the players over here are, but he's just having a drink. He hasn't hurt anyone...unless the pizza was really hot and got stuck to someone's face
The Jake Friend thing is just ridiculous though, stupid idiot.

Probably not to the same extent as football but look at the Sean Long/Gleeson betting affair, the Union loving media love to get there teeth into RL, the more negative the better. I can honestly say I think that addition of the Daily Wail had by far the most Rugby League coverage I've ever seen from a national and none of it was positive.

Seriously, if League was a headline Sport here the Journo's could find just as much copy in the antics of players I've seen making dicks of themeselves just in Wigan, and not necessarily Wigan players I might add either...
