Honestly I think the guy is a decent coach. I would like to see the club show patience but a club with wigans track record I would not be blown away should they part company in the next few weeks(results permitting).

As poor as wigan were tonight I think the coach needs time to ship certain players out or new coach brought in for the good of the comp.

We weren't great out wide tonight but you were soft up the middle. Would you get rid or give him time to clear out a few players???

Its split. Many want him gone. Many want him to stay.

The test for Noble is what he does about the senior pro's who aren't performing and if he continues to give youth a run.

The problem will come next week if the fall guys were Sam or Shaun.

I had my doubts early season - has Noble lost the dressing room... But now is not the time for sacking. I think he can turn it around and we have a good squad to make a real impression. Tonight was just one of those nights. The early 40/20 set the tone for the game and it was a struggle to get a foothold from there on.

Don't panic!!!!

Roll on next week.

I've always thought 2010 would be an acid test for Noble, Lenagan and the club in general because thats the season the majority of what i'd call 'deadwood' is off contract and should have left the club. To me given the fact that theres no relegation this year we should use this season as a way of bedding in a few youngsters to get used to the bigtime intime for us having a good pop at a trophy next year.

Aslong as Noble continues to give youth it's chance this season as and when they deserve it and doesn't blame them for all our failings i'll be happy enough to see him in charge beyond this season.

I'm not 100% sure that will be the case though.

The last two weeks show he hasn't. What we need is our "senior pros" to step up.

Exactly.

If he puts the blame at the door of the likes of Sam, Ainscough or O'Carroll tonight he's be totally wrong and people would be within their rights to call for his head on the back of a poor preformence at Salford without those lads included.

The more Senior pro's at the club like Richards, Bailey, Fielden and Hock were poor tonight and need to shoulder the majority of the blame imo.

The test is does he learn from his mistakes, the answer is no.

We will continue to win the odd game and perform well once in a blue moon which will have some in raptures on here.

The fact is he was taught a lesson tonight by his opposite number, fact. Will he learn from it, if form is to go by. No.

I agree, but everyone must step up, not just senior pros...everyone!!!!
We are a team and a community that we should all stand up and be counted...fans included, we should get behind this team, not slag em off, calling for him to be dropped or him to be sacked. Get behind them, if you don't want to we don't need that kind of 'support'. Stay at home and watch coronation street
ps AJ not a dig at you pal x

Sam & Shaun are Nobles saviours so far..The shining light amongst a bunch of overpaid pretenders..They have at least a couple of years grace where mistakes....Etc are concerned..IMO.

If you'd have swapped coaches tonight who do you think would have won the game?

IMO i see no evidence to suggest that Mclennan is a better coach then what Noble is. The fact is he's just inherited a far better team. Noble has had a couple of years to try and build a side and he's done pretty well at it with his hands tied behind his back in a way because of the salary cap and the fact we have some players tied up on big deals who don't warrent them.
