With regards to the worst rugby league player ever.

http://timesonline.typepad.com/rugby_league/

Also on Schofield's list of cross-code failures are David Young, Terry Holmes and Simon Irving. Va'aiga Tuigamala, Scott Gibbs and Scott Quinnell fair slightly but not much better in Schofield's estimations

Agree that John Gallagher was garbage, but other than that....what a bitter bitter man!!!!

From a bloke who won fek all (apart from a couple of dodgy Yarkshire Cups).

What a fuckking idiot. But then we already knew that. Thick as pigshyt. From Yorshire. And a really crap Karaoke singer (as folks from St Pats will testify). What else is there to say?

Also, possibly the most overcapped RL player ever. But then that was in an era when the moronic RL had to redress the balance by constantly selecting a son of Yorkshire when Wigan were totally dominating the game (and Scholfield's world, LOL - just think, he won virtualy nothing in his entire career thanks to us, LOL, LOL).

I really hope he ends up coaching a Yorkshire club some time. Then they'll finally realise how crap their raw product can actually be.

He did for Huddersfield and was less than good, he even came out of retirement while coach and his first involvement was to give away a penalty as soon as he took the field .

'Schoey' was a fair owld player in his time.

I remember queuing up at Headingley when we were playing Leeds in the 1980's.

It was a Saturday. The match was on BBC .

There was a big crowd, almost 20,000.

I was with my Dad.

To our right, in front of the steel gates, Schofield was signing autographs.

He was signing for so long, the security had to almost physically drag him in to get changed as 'kick off' time was nearing, they told him numerous times.

By contrast, at that time, Ellery Hanley would sign no supporters autograph books.

He played many times for GB.

The guy has earned his right to speak !

His problem is that he played during the time of the great Wigan team and therefore won nowt and is bitter about it.

Scott Gibbs wasn't even that bad.

Like most Union players it took him a while to adjust but he was a pretty decent centre who was better than a lot in todays super league.
