Might have it on, but hardly compelling viewing.

They do get stuck in good and proper. I'm led to believe they train pretty much on full time as well, before their lessons start in the morning.

It's weird though because no matter how good they are, they aren't going to play the sport on a full time basis - Most graduate to become doctors etc.

Do they? I bet there's not more than a couple of medical students. I remember playing Oxford when I was at Uni and chatting with their lads they were all doing heavy academic stuff like English Lit, Classics and Greek.

Although the Varsity game is built up due to the history, the better RL players tend to come from the less academic places with sports courses such as Leeds Met, Loughborough and UWIC. We got torn a 2nd booty by one lad when we played Loughborough who has done the rounds of the likes of Batley etc since he left. The standard's pretty low really so even someone like him looked like a superstar at that level.

Whoever commentated on last years game named the players who were graduating to become doctors. I think one of the captains was at the end of his degree and he was off to become a doctor of some sort.

Shocking game of RL. Granted I only caught the last half hour but I don't think I saw a completed set.

If you do a PhD in Chemistry, Philosophy, English Lit, Maths etc etc you become a doctor of that subject.
