Its not just you.

Many people think that Riddell is carrying an injury therefore not being able to contribute fully. But with Leuluai at 9 Wigan always look sharper and look more likely to break the line.

IMO his best position is 9 and he shud stay there.

We are, his enthusiasm speeds play up, hes always shouting for the tackled man to play it and then he can accellerate away from the PTB with a run or pass or a combo of both. Wigans PLB is far to slow normally. IMO if we made a better effort to speed it up all the time it would help all our props out and give our HB's options. All too often Fieldens recieveing the ball and hes got 2 or 3 forwards set ready to smash him, lets get Fielden on the front foot for a change and give him a chance.

Tommy has the potential to be a world class 9 and should be played there all the time

Just need a world class half back to play with Sam :D

LeuLuai is quality at hooker, he could be our long term solution in this area.

I hope Wigan are lining up a new deal for Tommy asap because he's getting better and better imo and will end up being a world class hooker.

He's a good 7 but 9 is his position and he'll cause havoc when played there on a regular basis.

I don't agree he's a good 7, he's very average there for me. Certainly at 9 he has far more potential to be extremely effective for us. The problem is IMO if Leuluai is going to accept a new deal I think he'd want to be a first choice 7. If I was Lenagan, I'd offer him a 3 year deal but on the proviso that he's happy with being a substitute hooker. I would be comfortable with Tomkins coming to start next year as long as he's partnered with a new signing who can handle the majority of the work. Leuluai isn't that man.

The difficulty is that both Riddell and McIlorum are on new 3 year deals.

That is our long term plan, rightly or wrongly
