Definetly one that got away from us. Would have been better long term to spend on him than Trent Barrett. Kept us up all by himself and man of the match by a mile tonight listening to Saints v Hull KR. |

It makes you wonder if Lenegan was too tight fisted when it came to luring Dobson to Wigan. We've all seen examples of his 'careful spending' in all areas of the club, but missing out on Dobson is something he may regret and will hopefully learn from it. |

I would have loved Dobson at Wigan. Frankly I would rather have him than TL. |

Our salary cap between 2005-2006 was clearly completly screwed and he's had to slowly recover us - and I think he's still doing that now. We saw enough to break the bank then in my view but sadly we'd already signed Barrett. We saw at Hull KR last summer - he played us off the park all by himself. Great talent. |

Aye but I bet both are on a pittance compared to what Dobson asked for. Who knows though it's all academic. |

I think we were holding out for an out and out 6, Dobson is more a 7 than Smith, our failure to snag a 6 makes the choice seem a strange one. |

[quote="WigansForeignLegion"]Yet people said all he had was his kicking game.... A great kicking game that got us out of trouble and put us on the front foot so many times and he could handle the pressure that so called wigan stars could not , and all at the age of 18 . when at the end of is stay with us his support play was also good . Tough kid. |
