There were two John Walkers at Wigan.

One had high opinions of himself and I think went out on loan (to Swinton ?) the other was a centre who played in the reserves last season. Which one went to Whitehaven?

He's down on their Wikipedia page as a prop so that was the former if I recall right.

It is the John Walker who went to Swinton a while back.

The other player is Jonathon Walker. Wigan seem to call him Jon, John, Jonny or Johnny at various times!

He was at Warrington academy for a short time too.

At one point he was absolutely awesome whilst playing in the U21's but things seemed to turn sour after the Swinton loan failed. I'm not sure why it hasn't worked out but it's a shame to see such a bright prospect become de-railed.

After speaking to his Dad I know he put alot of blame on Brian Noble who ''picked Daryl Goulding ahead of him'' which he obviously didn't agree with it.

He's now joined Rochdale. Good luck to him.

So surely if he was a better choice than Goulding he'd be playing in SL as well wouldn't he?

Some get the breaks, others get the gutter. It's all a matter of luck in some cases.
