Does not do justice to our "attack" and lack of creativity. Tonight was just as bad as last week for me. We are an extremely poor side lacking in ideas and set moves. Just what do they do on the training pitch during the week?

It's going to be a looooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg season.

Pub team, I could get a XIII out of the Cherries now at 00.05 which would create more chances than we did, and I bet that they could pass & control a ball better than that poop tonight.

Noble has to go, his 18 month extension is looking very much like another bad piece of business by IL.

It was a 12 month extension.

How was continuing to rebuild stability a bad thing.

If Noble goes and the next coach comes in and wins say the cup, Noble will have to take alot of the credit, he has rebuilt this club top to bottom since Millward nearly killed it. Fine, we aren't doing it on the field currently, but some of the nonsense posted on here about him is just crazy.

The only time we look like scoring is when Hock burts a tackle and has some support or the cross-field kicks (very good tonight from Smith to be fair though). That is all we've got.

We are worse than clueless. I am starting to sound like the thing that I resent, the whinging Wiganer.

It was a new contract on his existing one which constituted a 18 month contract..IIRC.. The stability rubbish is wishy washy, the team is bordering on poorer than the one that was nearly relegated, and with regards to enthusiam, team spirt, and worst of all basic defence techniques..The current team and coach are shaming the town and in the current climate that is very worrying..

Agree.

I didn't realise Peter Fox or Maurice Bamford had come out of retirement and had started coaching Wigan. It's like our very own edition of Life on Mars, stuck in a 1970s game plan.

Has he really rebuilt it from top to bottom? What do you mean when you say this?

I am pretty sure there is at least one poster who would disagree with you. Myself I have no idea what he has done off-field and can only judge the on-field performances which are not good under him (and his reluctance to play the junior players which is another negative IMO).

As to a new coach coming and taking this team of players to success and Noble taking a lot of the credit, no way. If a new coach came in and got them playing properly with set moves, dummy runners and a plan B etc and as a result we actually won something then I think the new coach would deserve all the credit for actually making something of this squad of players which Noble would have been sacked for failing to do.

Alot is things i've been told as im not as in the loop as others on here like to pretend. Orrell is one example, he got rid of Dean Bell being another, the whole make up of how training was structured etc. I stand to be corrected on these things.

So the repair job he did post Millward didn't do us any good long term?
