Can we have a trolls-only thread for tonight's game? So many of the threads last week got hijacked by morons (not all of them were our regulars :) ), it'd be nice if we didn't have a repeat performance.

Cheers.

To be fair we usually do open a 'gloating here' thread. Last week was the exception due to us being so Gash.

Also I assume you think we'll be playing badly and attracting trolls?

It's not as bad when it's not televised tbh but if a gloating thread becomes necessary you can all rest assured in your cherry and white socks that it will be implemented and policed with ruthless absence of humour!

Oh me of little faith

All jesting aside, I'm hopeful for tonight but not excessively confident (like some were last week).

Maybe we could use our idle pre-match time to assemble a difinitive pecking order of fanship?I'm thinking something as follows:

1. True Fan - Attends EVERY game, NEVER Boos', Sings and chants constantly, including half time and any mid-match lavatory visits, claps off the team regardless of pants-down humiliations. Supports fully all club decisions and policies. Doesn't know any Bingo jokes.

2. Ordinary Fan - Misses occasional games by accident (ie getting lost en- route, leaving their season ticket at home etc) or family emergency, Singing and chanting through most passages of play, claps off after wins, draw, narrow losses. Never Boos. May look puzzled at occasional club decisions but will not speak negatively on the subject. Knows one Bingo joke.

3. Fair Weather Fan - May choose not to attend games for unforced reason - exercising free will, dis-illusionment with club decisions etc, only really fancies away trips to nicer places, occasionally boos accidentally when triggered by someone next to them. Offers opinions both positive and negative on a variety of club related issues. Claps off team following wins or creditable performances. Knows several Bingo jokes.

4. Bad Fan - Rattles Uncle Joes around their teeth at matches, regularly leaves their seat prior to match conclusion, boos losses or even mediocre passages of play, raisies only negative issues. Attends Bingo twice weekly.

Any more sub-categories of the above anyone would like to add? We could all then wear colour coded badges to matches accordingly :)

5, South Stand Fan - chav, base ball cap, pants tucked into socks. Must be vexed of the 4 pack between 5 friends. Stands at back of the stand and loves a hand bag fight. Speciality is getting the Stewards running up the steps.

(sits back and awaits  )
