His defence is very good, ive not looked at the stats but he does graft for the team and when he played in the centres, although he didnt offer much in attack he did prove to be solid enough to do a decent job although to put it into perspective cost wise Nathan Mcavoy was brought in short term by Noble to do a similar job out wide.

The oversea's spots should be used to bring in players that can offer something more than what we already have at the club and i agree with you in saying that other players can do a similar job....and probably for less money too.

Super League stats also say Riddell made something like 22 metres. Surely that isn't right.

I can't remember him running very much from dummy half so maybe it is.

IIRC he ran twice. I've already convinced myself he was injured.....

Really that bad?

Ive not seen any coverage of the game, didnt get to see much Rugby in Egypt.

The game sounded dire.

I really have to disagree, he is hard working yes but his defence is only good if players run straight at him, if one runs a wide line he is screwed.

Also is it suprising he is up there for tackles made? We spilled the ball all day and gave it to them on a plate they dominated posession.

He missed 2 tackles both of which were in the build up to the Trinity tries. Hardly impressive for a so called good defender.

Yup. Comparable to the Wakey, Huddersfield and HKR games last season.
