I had decided to watch Wigan away from home this season after being a season ticket holder for many years but after Sunday I have decided I don't want to go to Hull.
I think all of you who will be there are deserving of the utmost praise or is it me who is fickle.
I don't mind them losing, it's just how they lose that depresses me. Am I wrong?

The key is to travel away drink and be merry. It blanks out the misery.

We don't drink. So if it all goes pear shaped tomorrow night then it's a journey of quiet misery back from Hull :(

Its this type of response from the fans that makes me laugh. We lose one game, the first game of the season and now you dont want to make the trip this week.

Being a fan is about taking the rough with the smooth. Your jumping ship after just one game.

A true fan doesnt pick and choose games, you support your team no matter what.

And have a bloody good time whilst doing it !!

I'm not going to Hull - not because of the team, but because it's Hull. I've not forgotten their animalistic fans deliberately sat as close to the away end as they possibly could, constantly looking at, and shouting at us rather than the game, and I've certainly not forgotten the coach being attacked with a brick on leaving the ground.

I know it's a minority, but to me, the atmosphere was hostile. No place for that in RL. Banter, of course yes. Out and out hostility - no.

I appreciate it won't bother most of you, but it bothers me. Sorry if that makes me fickle or soft, but I'd sooner not put myself position in the name of a rugby game.

It's not as simple as 'just one game' though is it? We've had a few years of Wigan playing less rugby than any other team in the league. If there is another team who play less attractive rugby than Wigan, name them. I honestly don't think I'm that bad for not going to Hull but as my heading suggests, I think that the ones who go, deserve the utmost praise. Hope they don't disappoint.
Got to admit, I'll be glued to the Saints/Wire game on Sky, with GMR in my ear. I expect to see some great rugby and hope to hear some.

I'm going and taking someone to their first RL match. Wonder what they will think of it.

I can see where Salty is coming from. Last year was probably the least enjoyable season I've ever had watching Wigan, and last week just picked up where most of last season left off.

We are just so fecking boring and predictable it's untrue. I can't even have a decent drink to numb the pain until I get back home because I have to drive to nearly every game. However I've got a nearly full bottle of vodka waiting for me when I get home tomorrow night. I think I might need it.

The only time I ever doubted going to watch Wigan week in week out was when we bare face cheated to stay in superleague. Some may agree or not but that did leave a rotten taste in my mouth for a little while.

Thankfully my wife made me see sense by saying that there is little that we the fans can do about the politics of the club and that we should just go and get on with our job of supporting the boys.

We may not enjoy some of the stuff we play, but it is Wigan RLFC playing and to the both of us that that is all that matters in our choice of to go or not to go.

Players come, players go, managers come, managers go as do the people who own and run the club. But one thing stays for ever and that is us the fans. We are Wigan RLFC :D
