Few points to be made cause i think Leuluai, Feka O'Carroll Tomkins and Fielden had decent games...
Mathers - dont think anymore needs to be said, he couldnt catch a cold or tackle himself out a wet paper bag.
Roberts - Wasnt impressed with him in defence but i think it was more the fact that Phelps kept leaving him on his own almost every single time, think he should be at fullback next week cause he looked good under the high balls
Phelps - Waste of a quota spot - better on the wing imo.
Carmont - No complaints
Richards - Same
Smith - thought he had quite a bad game aswell, it was so frustrating when he kept kicking early, once or twice is ok, but every fookin time and it didnt come off for him once.
Leuluai - plays better at hooker, his step is immense.
Fielden - Good, solid game, expecting a big year from him.
Riddell - didnt do nothing wrong but didnt do much right either, give him time to settle in though, he is better than higham.
Feka - usual self, good game, should be coming off the bench though
Hock - Hot/Cold game from him, but should also be coming off the bench cause we all know what he can do to a tired defence
Bailey - see phelps, brings nothing what Mossop/farrell couldnt.
O'Loughlin - bad game today but not the worst
Tomkins - Thought he played well too and made a few breaks, shame no-one backs him up.
Hansen - didnt notice him
O'Carrol - great game, he runs like a train, better than coley by MILES.
Coley - sh*t, get prescott on instead of him.
Next week i would go with:
Roberts
Phelps
Goulding
Carmont
Richards
Smith
Leuluai
Fielden
Riddell
O'Carrol (Deserves this after today)
Hansen
Tomkins
O'Loughlin
Hock
Feka
Tomkins (S)
Prescott
but we all know Noble will probably go with the same team as today

Richard Mathers - Doesnt Catch or Tackle. No future for a full back who cant do the things he is paid for.
Amos Roberts - Looked abit ropey in defence for there tries, although looked safe under high bomb and would prefer see him at FB next week instead of being isolated on the wing.
George Carmont - Didnt really get involved again, although wasnt given much ball but was solid enough in defence.
Cameron Phelps - Overpaid and overrated Aussie, Doesnt offer anything more than Goulding.
Pat Richards - Scored his conversion, solid in defence - not much going forward.
Tim Smith - Prettyboy showed today, tried spectacular tries by kicking to Roberts twice when passing would of been better option. He's no Trent Barrett.
Tommy Leuleui - Liveliest player going forward and put a few good hits in - least he showed some passion.
Stuart Fielden - Showed a few good runs, but Nobby took him off after 15mins (ish) and this isnt his usual game. Prefer to see him with a longer stint.
Mark Riddell - Not the best starts but didnt really get chance to run the game in attacking positions. Improvements will be made though, im sure.
Feka - Simply not a starting prop, made a few good runs though but needs to start on the bench and bring impact in to game, not start the game with impact.
Phil Bailey - Didnt offer much going forward or in defence for me, Place in the team is defo under threat for next week.
Gareth Hock - No impact on the game from starting, like Feka he is worth much more to the team when started from the bench
Sean O'Loughlin - Good go forward and good defence from Lockers, felt sorry for him as he looked like it actually meant something to him today. Not sure about moving him into the halves during games though.
.......
Harrison Hansen - Last years 'hitman' with the most tackles and we leave him on the bench? We concede two scrappy tries and then bring him on - utter nonsense.
Andy Coley - Knocked on more than I can count to, didnt offermuch going forward - not Wigan RL Standard.
Joel Tomkins - Bright spark today, looked good in defence and going forward - again unlucky to be left on the bench though. Took his try well.
Eamon O'Carrol - MOM for me, made good yards and some good hits. Are you watching Coley?

Would agree with all of that, good assessment.
I think you make a good point RE: Phelps/Roberts partnership. Phelps left Roberts exposed far too often, they stung us down that side every time.
23 - 20 - 4
Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions
It wasn't Phelps who left Roberts stranded.
For the first try Phelps made the mid field tackle but no-one covered his position, and Bailey got stranded.
Tee second both Phelps and Roberts were infield because there was no-one defending inside Phelps. Once O'Loughlin moved to cover that inside centre position it was sorted albeit too late, but the question needs to be asked, who should have done it from the start.
SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row

That side was murdered today, something has to be changed, it has too...but does noble have the guts to throw goulding or ainscough there? No.

My main issue from today apart from the yet again inept coaching and game plan was Bailey, he must be dropped for next week. People praise his defence which is reasonable if you run straight at him, the second a player tries to go round him he is a liability as he seems to tread water when he runs.
Phelps again is not worth a shirt next week his defence carried on where he left off last year, ie very poor.
Coley was woefull, if he had a brain cell in his head it would help, why for the love of god he leads with his carry carrying arm going into the tackle i will never know, its a recipe for disaster regards ball security.
I have no idea why Smith thought he had to put in those pointless kicks trying to catch the opposition winger out but hopefully a lesson learned and he will not try to e too clever in future, defence again needs to improve.
Next week my team would be.
Roberts
Ainscough
Goulding
Carmont
Richards
Smith
TL
Fielden
Riddell
Prescott
Hansen
Locky
Tomkins
Tomkins
O'Carroll
Hock
Feka
These quota players who are not producing need to be dropped to send a message.
One thing is clear we cannot continue with a right side defence of Bailey, Smith and Phelps is we expect to win a game this year.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

The only change i'd possibly make is Feka for Mossop, otherwise it's spot on.
