If they are both match fit then Sam plays. He cannot be match fit following his lengthy lay off so I think Hardaker should play.

I get the feeling we may see Tomkins in the halves with Williams missing out.

People can talk all they want about Tomkins having a poor year in the NRL but he's been injured and still seems to be injured. When fit he's on a different level to Zak Hardaker. That's no disrespect to Hardaker because he's on a different level to any of our backs as proven over years terrorising superleague. The problem is still doesn't seem to be right and for that reason I'd leave him out. I don't even think he should have been in the squad.

Tomkins has just been ruled out of the NZ series, perhaps good news for us Wigan fans.

Would rather see a good player playing than sitting on the bench, but in this case it's for the best. We need him for next season more than England need him for this series.

Hmmm, he should be fully fit then for February, I'm more concerned that McBanana isn't calling up anyone for a replacement. I don't think we're short in the backs, but I don't think risking any depletion even at this late stage is wise.
(still reckon Rocky should've had a call)

Good, here's hoping it's sorted out asap and he's ready for the start of next season.
